Dr. Jonathan Cohen

Dr. Jonathan M. Cohen was born and raised in Great Neck, NY.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with multiple honors.   He then completed his “General Practice Residency” at North Shore LIJ, where he was able to gain more clinical exposure to all aspects of Restorative Dentistry, Dental Implantology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

After completing his general practice training, Dr. Cohen went on to complete five years of residency in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital (a Level One Trauma Center) in Newark, NJ.  During his last year of residency, he served as the Chief Resident.  During that time, he would perform the most complex procedures while having the opportunity to educate students and residents in both clinical and academic Oral Surgery.  While training at Rutgers, Dr. Cohen received the patient advocacy award… twice! Recognized by the hospital for his gentle nature and excellence in patient care.  Dr. Cohen has active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Dr. Cohen is married and has 2 children. While away from the office, he enjoys hiking, skiing, and weight training.

 

Dr. Melanie Melgarejo

Dr. Melanie Melgarejo grew up in Queens, New York, and attended New York University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Computer Science.  She went on to attend the University of New England School of Dental Medicine in Maine, where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mel completed a Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry at Harlem Hospital Center in New York, where she received her specialty certificate.

Dr. Mel is bilingual in Spanish and English and is dedicated to creating positive dental experiences for children by combining clinical excellence with a gentle, compassionate approach. She believes that early dental care plays a vital role in a child’s overall well-being and is committed to helping every patient build a strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy, confident smiles. Whether it’s a first tooth or a first filling, Dr. Mel makes every visit something to smile about!

Dr. Gabrielle Sykoff

Dr. Gabrielle Sykoff grew up in Great Neck, New York, and attended Binghamton University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Gabrielle completed a General Practice Residency Program/Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She then went on to complete a two year Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry, at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received her specialty certificate.

Dr. Sykoff is proud to be Board Certified by the prestigious American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

In her free time Gabrielle enjoys spending time with her friends and family, travelling, and exploring New York City.

Dr. Durgesh Kudchadkar

Dr. Durgesh Kudchadkar (You can call him “Dr. D”!) knew from the start that he wanted to be a children’s dentist, and enjoys providing quality professional care to kids and teens.

He began his post-graduate career as a health educator in North Carolina where he worked with many diverse groups ranging from preschool children to young adults, including new mothers and infants, as well as special needs patients.

Dr. D. attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, under a merit-based National Health Service Corps Scholarship, achieving National Boards Honors and Dean’s List, graduating magna cum laude. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

Children’s health, happiness, and comfort are top priorities for Dr. D., and when he’s not talking with his patients about Sponge Bob or Dora the Explorer, he is teaching them how to brush the “sugar bugs” off their teeth!

He is still a kid at heart and loves going to the movies, traveling to fun lands, playing fetch with his little dog Cameron, and even braving the newest roller coaster parks.

Dr. Si Yul Kim

Dr. Si Yul Kim was born and raised in Korea before he moved to New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University, where he developed a strong foundation in the sciences. He then pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Kim is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to providing exceptional dental care to his patients. With a personalized approach, he strives to create a comfortable and stress-free environment where patients feel valued and respected. Dr. Kim is known for his gentle touch and his ability to make even the most anxious patients feel at ease. He is passionate about helping his patients achieve optimal oral health and beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.

Dr. Kim is committed to staying at the forefront of his field by regularly participating in continuing education courses and seminars. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.

Aside from practicing dentistry, he enjoys playing and watching tennis, reading, exercising, and spending time with his wife.

Dr. Ariel Ginsberg

Dr. Ariel Ginsberg grew up in Westchester, New York prior to moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She later returned home to attend New York University College of Dentistry where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She then continued at New York University College of Dentistry where she completed a two-year residency program and received her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Ariel believes in providing friendly, compassionate, and high-quality dental care to every child she treats. She loves the community feeling of Stamford and is excited about being a part of the Dental Care Kids family.

Dr. Ariel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new recipes, and exploring NYC.

Dr. Ariel may not be a mermaid who lives under the sea, but she’s just as fun—we promise!

Dr. Keith Chiarello

Dr. Keith Chiarello was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey. After attending Bowdoin College in Maine, he moved to Philadelphia to begin his dental career as a Dean’s Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

After graduating from Penn Dental, Dr. Keith continued his education at a General Practice Residency Program at Montefiore Medical Center. Upon graduation from Montefiore, he furthered his education at the Nova Southeastern University Pediatric Dental Residency Program. Dr. Keith is Board eligible and is passionate about staying up to date on new advances in his field.

Dr. Keith is a huge New York Giants fan, and you will always see him cheering on the Giants on Sundays! He enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and playing soccer. He hopes to bring warmth, enthusiasm and joy while creating healthy and happy smiles for his patients!

Dr. Blake Adams

Dr. Blake Adams (Dr. Blake) was born and raised in Glen Rock, New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Societies, with a concentration in Finance and Health Care Markets. Dr. Blake was also a member of UPenn’s two-time Ivy League Championship Football team.

Dr. Blake attended New York University’s College of Dentistry as a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP), funded by the United States Navy, and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Blake served four years as a general dentist in the military, earning the rank of Lieutenant, serving in Norfolk (VA), Okinawa (Japan), and Washington DC, where he received two Navy Achievement Medals and an honorable discharge from service. He then decided to transition into Pediatric Dentistry and attended BronxCare Health Systems where he completed a two-year residency program and received his specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Blake is able to show his fun and creative side, whether by telling jokes, performing magic tricks, or simply discussing a child’s favorite cartoon characters or sports heroes. Dr. Blake shares the philosophy that pediatric dentists can truly shape a young child’s dental future. He aims to impact children’s lives by teaching them the importance of taking care of their oral hygiene so that they can achieve magnificent smiles and healthy mouths. He wants to instill a high level of confidence in their smiles by educating them so that they love taking care of their teeth.

Dr. Blake is truly a sports enthusiast at heart. In his spare time, he enjoys playing/watching football, basketball, baseball, and golf. He also loves spending time with family/friends, watching movies, and traveling. He cannot wait to explore all that the Stamford community has
to offer!
