Dental Care Kids Planting Trees for Earth Day

YOUR NEW EARTH DAY TREE:

Many years ago, Dr. Simon’s son, Brent, got a baby tree on Earth day at school. They planted it in their yard and after a few years it got so big that they had to move it to a new spot where it is now.  Of course that was a long time ago and now it is literally 40 feet tall!

Trees don’t grow that fast so find a spot where you can see it and if it does not rain give it a little water every now and then.  If you don’t have a big yard, put the little tree in a little flower pot and when it starts to grow you can move it to a bigger pot.

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft  said, “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year, but underestimate what they can do in a decade.  As a result they burn out and give up.”  So plant the tree and watch it grow along with you. Maybe one day you will be able to have a kid of your own and tell them the story of your Earth Day Tree.

Since our winners were so thrilled with their prizes and started planting right away, Dr. Simon decided to buy some more seedlings to give away to additional patients and he also planted some trees with his granddaughters over Mother’s Day Weekend. Whether you can give a little or a lot, doing what you can, makes a huge difference!
